For the Consumer. Applies to cephalexin: oral capsule, oral powder for suspension, oral tablet, oral tablet for suspension. Along with its needed effects, cephalexin may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.
Side Effects. Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, or upset stomach may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
